Teeth Whitening
Until very recently, only dentists could perform teeth whitening treatments. Today, all teeth whitening systems (except those containing fluoride) are considered cosmetic products, meaning that teeth whitening is now considered a cosmetic, non-invasive dental procedure approved by the FDA and Health Canada. Teeth whitening is one of the simplest cosmetic procedures, if done right. For us at WHITE Teeth Brightening, doing it right means using a proper whitening agent (that is, a good hydrogen peroxide gel) and an appropriate whitening accelerator. The most practical accelerator is an LED lamp emitting a cold blue light with a wavelength of 465 nanometers. This wavelength of light is ideal for activating the hydrogen peroxide and accelerating the whitening process. The procedure is very simple. Hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the teeth. A cold blue light is placed directly in front of the client’s exposed teeth and runs for 15 minutes per treatment (for a maximum of 45 minutes). Since we DO NOT use trays, we are able to provide custom results for our clients and apply the whitening formula to each tooth individually, enabling us to achieve the best results with little to no sensitivity for our clients.
Is the treatment painful?
We offer pain-free cosmetic procedures with little to no sensitivity. We take the utmost care to ensure the delivery and administration of these procedures are done with a personalized approach combined with strategic application techniques to maximize comfort. We have many barriers in place throughout the entire process to minimize any potential sensitivity.
Is the WHITE Teeth Brightening treatment Health Canada Approved?
At White Teeth Brightening, our philosophy is that products be manufactured locally with the highest grade raw material of USP, FCC and NF grade or higher. All our gels are Health Canada compliant and we work directly with the manufacturer to ensure all our products are to our specifications. The WHITE Teeth Brightening programs and application procedures are also Health Canada compliant and safe to use by certified technicians. Health Canada deems teeth whitening to be a cosmetic service therefore it does not need to be limited to the confines of a dental office.

WHITE Teeth Brightening hybrid gel pens guarantees a 2-16 shade difference. Genetics, natural tooth colouring, oral hygiene habits and types of enamel all play a factor in the outcome of individual results.
What are the post-treatment steps after my appointment?
Once your session is complete the next 24 hours are vital to the success of the process. The use of carbamide in our gel allows the teeth to continue to whiten for the next 24 hours. Your teeth during this time are permeable to stains and therefore staining drinks and foods are to be avoided ie. coffee, tea, tomato sauce, ketchup, berries and smoking.
How long will my results last?
We use the best available whitening agents on the market (meaning safe, sustainable and Health Canada compliant) to ensure your results last as long as possible. We typically advise clients that they can expect to see results last as long as 6 months.
